It is a scheme that offers credit guarantee and loans of up to Rs. 10 lakhs at a subsidized rate of interest so that they can be able to venture on their own. The program also provides the beneficiaries with the information and guidance they need to be able to operate their businesses. The program is designed to facilitate the environment where MSMEs of the state can grow and develop.

How to Apply for Mukhyamantri Bihar Udyami Yojana

Access the official portal: Click on the official site link –https://udyami.bihar.gov.in

Register and login: You can create an account or log in with your credentials to begin the application process.

Choose your category: You need to choose one of three categories (A, B or C) depending on your business plan and the size of your investments:

Category A:

  • Where the cost of the project is up to ₹10 lakh.
  • Borrow 10 lakh rupees at 1 percent interest per year.
  • Get 50,000 rupees subsidy on machinery and equipment.
  • Avail 80 percent credit guarantee under CGTMSE.
  • 15 days entrepreneurship training by EDII or any other approved institute.

Category B:

  • Where the cost of the project is ₹10 lakh to ₹25 lakh.
  • Take a ₹25 lakh loan at 4 per cent interest subvention.
  • Get 1 lakh subsidy on machinery.
  • 75% guarantee credit CGTMSE.
  • 30-day training by EDII or accredited organizations.

Category C:

  • Where the project cost is between ₹25 lakh to ₹1 crore
  • Can avail a loan of 1 crore at 6% interest concession
  • Avail 2 lakh subsidy on equipments
  • CGTMSE 50% credit guarantee.
  • 45 days advanced training with EDII or otherwise

Complete the online form: Enter your personal information, business information and financial information.

Post needed documents: Upload needed documents such as identity proof, address proof, educational qualification, business plan, etc.

Apply online: After filling out all the fields and uploading the documents, apply online.

Training and verification: In case you are chosen, you will be contacted to attend training sessions according to your category, after which the loan will be given and assistance provided to set up business.

Registration Process: How to Register Bihar Udyami Yojana?

The process to enroll in the Bihar Udyami Yojana is very easy, and it consists of the following steps:

Step 1: Go to the official site udyami.bihar.gov.in and press the Registration/Login.

Step 2: Choose the scheme Mukhyamantri Bihar Udyami Yojana (MMUY).

Step 3: Fill in your Aadhaar number and choose a password.

Step 4: Press the button marked “Login”.

Step 5: You will see a registration form. Enter all the necessary information attentively.

Step 6: Press the button “Submit” to finish your registration.

After a successful registration, the following steps would help you to apply:

Step 1: Visit the portal by entering your Aadhaar number and password.

Step 2: Visit your dashboard and you will find the application form.

Step 5: Revise the whole application checking whether everything is accurate.

Step 6: Select the button “Submit” to finish the application.

Step 7: Download the acknowledgement receipt. Put it away, to refer to later.

What are the Documents Required for Bihar Udyami Yojana?

  • Aadhaar Card of the applicant
  • PAN Card (personal or business, if applicable)
  • Recent passport-size photograph
  • Proof of residence such as voter ID, electricity bill, or ration card
  • Caste certificate (if applying under reserved categories)
  • Income certificate (if applicable for eligibility criteria)
  • Educational qualification certificate (minimum 10th pass or as specified)
  • Bank account details including passbook copy or cancelled cheque
  • Business plan or detailed project report
  • Affidavit or self-declaration form as per official format

Eligibility Criteria for Bihar Udyami Yojana

  • The candidate should be a permanent resident of Bihar.
  • The applicant must be between 18 to 50 years.
  • The candidate should have completed at least 10 th standard (Matriculation).
  • It is expected that the applicant must be unemployed during application.
  • This scheme is only open to new business ventures.
  • The applicant must not have defaulted in any government or bank loan.
  • A family can have only one member applying under this scheme.
  • Candidates should belong to the General, Backward Class, Extremely Backward Class, Scheduled Caste, or Scheduled Tribe category.
  • The candidate should not have availed financial aid under other such government programs in the past.
  • During the application, a decent business plan or a project proposal should be provided.
